Every child matters
Every child matters, the Government's vision for children's services, was published in September 2003. It proposed reshaping children's services to help achieve the outcomes children and young people identified as key to well-being in childhood and later life. Those being:
-
be healthy;
-
stay safe;
-
enjoy and achieve;
-
make a positive contribution; and
-
achieve economic well-being.
From September 2005, Ofsted will expect schools to demonstrate how they are contributing to these five national outcomes for children. Developing a School Travel Plan enables your school to demonstrate its contribution toward these outcomes.
