Spillages on roads and footways

Spillages on the highway can lead to road traffic crashes or, at the very least, expense to the highway authority.

If you see an incident of spillage on the highway - this could include oil/gravel/sand etc on the road, dropped loads etc, please report this to us as an emergency by telephoning our Highways Helpline (01234) 228661.

If out of normal office hours your call will automatically be re-directed and someone will answer.

If you have any details of the offender please help us by providing these - it will help us to recover the costs.
