Local Transport Plan

We have two plans covering the County, the "Bedfordshire Local Transport Plan 2006/07 - 2010/11" which includes the towns of Bedford, Biggleswade, Sandy, Leighton Buzzard, Ampthill, Flitwick, and all the rural areas of the County.  Information on this plan is detailed below.

Our other plan the "Luton, Dunstable & Houghton Regis Local Transport Plan 2006-2011"  is jointly prepared with Luton Borough Council and includes the areas of Houghton Regis, Dunstable and Luton.  Information on this plan is held on Luton Borough Council's web site|

Our Local Transport Plans (LTP) and Annual Performance Reviews (APR) are submitted to the Secretary of State for Transport. Their findings may be found on the Department for Transport’s web site| (follow the links to East of England local transport plan settlements).
