50,000 can’t be wrong
Bedfordshire is an ideal county to cycle in. We already have around 7000 people cycling regularly to work and around 50,000 residents get on their cycles over the year. Why not joint them?

Why is the council not doing more?
Annoyed by something. A pothole? Why not email the Highways Helpdesk |or phone (01234) 228661. We’re working hard to make our roads better for cycling but we can’t be everywhere and we can’t fix it unless we know about it.
Want to get more involved? Bedfordshire CC and the district councils hold regular cycle forums where cyclists can raise important issues and we get feedback on what we are doing for cycling. Or check out what schemes Bedfordshire CC has implemented and also is proposing do to help increase cycling.
Parents
Most children love cycling and it’s good for them. Why not go to the page “children and cycling” to get the facts and find out what is happening. Bedfordshire CC runs children cyclist training courses |and we have Bike It officers in a number of schools to encourage more children to cycle. Find out about what our school travel team |is doing.
