The Moot Hall

Step into the world of John Bunyan when you visit this delightful 15th century timber-framed market hall set on the village External view of the Moot Hallgreen at Elstow. Now a museum containing beautiful period furniture, it illustrates the life and traditions of 17th century England.  The Moot Hall was originally built to serve Elstow Abbey| as a market house.

Open: Moot Hall is open to the public from 1 to 4pm on Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from Easter (or the beginning of April) to the end of September. It is also open on all Bank Holidays, including Good Friday.

Admission prices: Adult £1, Children and Concessions 50p.

Disabled access: A stairlift has been installed allowing access to the upper floor. Some ancient timbers on the ground floor are uneven. The Moot Hall and the village of Elstow
