Children with disabilities

Our Children with Disabilities Teams take referrals from members of the public and other agencies and work with families to assess their social care needs.

We work together with families to assist carers and parents to meet their children’s needs. We first assess the childrens’ needs with their parents and then work with other agencies to identify how best we can help meet these needs.

There is sometimes a need to protect children against family abuse and in these cases we work with the police, other agencies and the families to identify the risk and safeguard the child.
