County Council Regulation 3 Planning Application Forms
**updated March 20th 2008**
From the 6 April 2008, a national standard planning application form (1APP) is being introduced by the Government, to be used by all planning authorities. Bedfordshire County Council is now using this form.
In accordance with Government guidance in preparation for the introduction of 1APP, the County Council has developed local criteria to clearly identify what needs to be submitted alongside the national standard application form for validation of you planning application. You must ensure your application is submitted with reference to the validation list.
How the validation list was developed:
All key stakeholders involved in the process leading to the determination of County Council (Regulation 3) planning applications were consulted. These included groups and organisations such as:
• Statutory consultees
• Parish/Town Councils
• Relevant voluntary and community groups
• Planning agents, applicants and operators.
In total 360 stakeholders were directly contacted by e-mail and post. The consultation document was also made available for online consultation through the County Council’s web site. The consultation period was for 6 weeks from December 2007 to January 2008.
The ‘Local Validation List’ has now been produced after taking into account all the comments made & it now identifies the information required for each different type of planning application.
