Minerals and waste planning enforcement

Enforcement

Enforcement deals with the situation that arises when development has taken place without the benefit of planning permission or a condition imposed on a planning permission has been ignored or abused.

The Borough and District Councils will deal with most of such cases but the County Council has responsibility for enforcement in respect of Minerals and Waste matters.

The County Council has adopted an Enforcement Protocol which sets out the Authority's role in enforcement and the standards it intends to follow in this area of its work. Copies are available from the Development Planning and Control Section at County Hall. Our contact address is shown below. Annual Report

An annual Enforcement and Monitoring report is produced to summarise our work in this area. The most recent report went to Development Control Committee in July 2007. The next Annual Report is due in June 2008.
