Returning teachers
If you are a trained teacher not currently working there are various ways by which you can be supported in your return to the classroom.
Each Autumn the LA runs a 12 week part-time Return to Teaching Course. This is commissioned and quality-assured by the Training and Development Agency for Schools. Course participants are eligible to receive a training bursary and have childcare costs reimbursed. The next course will commence on Friday 8th September 2006. In addition, from time to time, one day workshops| (new window) are held which are devoted to specific aspects of teaching and learning.
