Section 52 Budget Statement 2007/2008

  • This is a statutory annual return setting out the Excel Icon Local Education Authority's budget (MS Excel document opens in new window) specifying what is delegated directly to schools and what is retained centrally to meet the LEA's direct responsibilities e.g. school transport. An electronic version of the 2007/2008 return is attached.

Financial Regulations for Schools

  • Bedfordshire's Financial Regulations for Schools, which are regularly updated, are made in pursuance and for the purposes of Section 151 of the Local Government Act 1972 and in accordance with Section 48 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998.
  • Copies of the Regulations can be obtained from the Financial Policy Team in County Hall, Bedford.

Bank Account Schemes

  • Bedfordshire operates two bank account schemes for its schools, which suit schools' particular local circumstances. Copies of the Partially and Fully Funded Schools' Bank Account Schemes can be obtained from the Financial Policy Team in County Hall, Bedford.
