New Bedford and Luton Archives Pages
Vicarage| & Adult Pleasure garden, Luton c.1900
The Community Archives| section of our website continues to expand. It is our intention to use our sources to put together a local history resource for every community in the county - a task which has already taken three years and which, it is envisaged, will take another fourteen to complete! For each community we write pages on: the name; geography; population, prehistory and history before the Conquest; the manors; the church; the chapels; education; interesting buildings and inns, beerhouses, hotels and public houses. We also have maps, accounts of murders and anything else which might be of interest!
