Bedfordshire & Luton Archives & Records Service has a will of 1720 in which the Cock was devised by George Pedly to his son George, showing that this licensed house was in existence for over 200 years. It was owned in the early 19th century by James Joseph Weston of Biggleswade, later by Philip Myers.
