Husborne Crawley Inclosure Map

Inclosure Map of Husborne Crawley|

Husborne Crawley was inclosed| in 1799 and the map above [MA75] is a tracing of the Award Map. To see a larger version please click on the thumbnail. The tracing shows Turnpike Lane between Horsepool Lane and Mill Road, with School Lane running north to just beyond the church and Crow Lane branching off to the left. It is most noteworthy for showing all the houses on the south side of Turnpike Road which were demolished by the Duke of Bedford when he extended Woburn Park up to the level of the road and built the current estate wall.
