Other Caddington pubs
Bedfordshire & Luton Archives & Records Service does not have much in the way of source material for the majority of Caddington licensed premises (with the exception of the Chequers) mainly because two were owned by a Whitechapel brewery whilst the others were either owned by the licensee or by other, out-county brewers

Red Cow
Caddington Common: this public house was built as a cottage on the western corner of Caddington Common in the mid 17th century and was an inn by 1800 but does not seem to have continued as such for much after that date.

Watling Street: this inn was at Turnpike Farm at the point where the tollgate was built across Watling Street. It is first noted as an inn by a sale catalogue of 1794
