8th Timed Document Delivery Exercise

In March 2010 we took a sample of 200 document requests by our searchers to see how far we met our target of 5 minutes per order (target: 75% overall)

Here are the results compared with those of previous surveys:

Jan 2001: 4 mins 9 seconds 83%

Mar 2003: 4 mins 5 seconds 85%

September 2004: 3 mins 58 seconds 91%

December 2006: 4 mins 4 seconds 80.5%

Jan/Feb 2008: 4 mins 84%

February 2009: 4 mins 40 seconds 79%

March 2010: 4 mins 37 seconds 75.2%

Comment: this survey was carried out during an exceptionally busy period, with almost 1000 documents being produced over an 8 day period.  Despite this the average production time was slightly better than in 2009.
