Bedfordshire County Youth Orchestra

The County Youth Orchestra is the most senior of our five orchestras, and plays music from the professional orchestral repertoire.  Over the years, symphonies by Mahler, Tchaikovsky, Dvorak, Brahms, Berlioz and Shostakovich have been performed, along with such demanding works as La Mer, The Rite of Spring, Petroushka, Bartok’s Concerto for Orchestra, and La Valse. The Orchestra often performs with distinguished national and international soloists. It also tours abroad, and has won the prestigious Sainsbury Youth Orchestra award.

Approximate Standard: Grade 7+
